let me introduce myself

Hello, I am Giuseppe Giordano and I split my time between Bari (Apulia, Italy) where I was born and Co. Limerick (Ireland).

I work as a Multilingual Guide (Italian, French, Spanish and English), Tour Consultant and Destination Specialist for tour operators, travel agencies and private tourists.

I am specialized on tailor made itineraries to better discover my region (Apulia), Italy and Europe. Moreover I am also a location scouter.

Already trained as a tourist guide for visually impaired people, I specialized in this area by attending in London a course organized by the English Heritage and I volunteer in the initiative Helping Hands. In Hertford, approx 30 km north of London I collaborated as a Tourism Development Manager, dealing with projects and relations to better improve the tourist offer of the town and to incentivize the economical impact.

I carried out my studies first in Florence, where I studied Economy and Management of Tourist Services. I furthered my studies in Milan, where I obtained the Diploma in Ticketing Sales Agent at the Scuola Superiore del Commercio e Turismo. 

I improved my knowledge of languages in customer services, sales and marketing departments in various northern European countries such as Norway, Ireland, UK and the Netherlands, developing a good familiarity with different cultural realities.

Back in Bari I have obtained the professional qualification of Technical Director of Travel Agencies and Promoter of the Territory.

Next I received the Guide Course Certificate for Norway of Møre and Trøndelag Guideservice, one of the first tourist service organizations of Norway.

I also attended a First Aid Response Course at Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council.

Recently I achieved the Quality & Qualification Ireland Level 6 (QQI 6) in National Tour Guiding (Irish Tour Guiding - National; National Tour Management; Irish Natural Heritage and Culture - National).

I hold the position of councilor inside Federagit Terra di Bari, a category national association that promotes the knowledge of the apulian cultural heritage, valorizing unusual itineraries and supporting a sustainable tourism.

As location manager I have worked successfully with RAI (Italian State TV) for the realization of various documentaries.
